Specials Betting: Susan Boyle odds on to win Britain’s Got Talent

Forty-seven-year old singing sensation goes odds on in Britain’s Got Talent betting…

Susan Boyle has shot to odds on after Betfair opened a market on the 47-year-old winning this year’s Britain’s Got Talent - and the competition is only a week old!

The church volunteer from Blackburn in Scotland became an overnight sensation when she defied audience sniggers to wow judges with her TV debut. Piers Morgan said her performance was the biggest shock he had witnessed as a judge on the show for three years and Boyle’s Cinderella story has captured the imagination of the nation.

As ever, Betfair punters have been quick to catch on with Yes available to back at [1.67] in the Britain’s Got Talent - Susan Boyle Winner? Market.

With her performance attracting over 40 million youtube viewings, appearances on several US TV channels over the last week and ITV calling her “the world’s most sought after woman,” Boyle’s popularity is on the rise.

However, with other impressive candidates having already emerged and five audition shows still to come, have punters been too hasty in making Susan odds-on?

Those who have backed No at [2.4] clearly think so… Let us know your views by posting below…

Daily Selections: Saturday April 18

Filed Under: CA, Gambling, Object, Sports, blythe-knight, exchange, night, press, price, scotland, time by: admin

Two selections today from our man Shiambouros - one from England and one from Scotland…

At Ayr today in the 3.25 Brooklyn Brownie is a horse that could run well at a big price if none the worse for his early exit in the Grand National. Prior to his recent fall this horse put up a really good effort when beating Rare Society at Wetherby in March. Today he faces a big task but he should be ready to give a good account of himself. At present he is trading at [29.0] on the exchange.

Later on in the 6.15 at Doncaster, King Of Dixie should go close in this Listed event. Last time out at Kempton he was most impressive when beating Blythe Knight on the Polytrack. A reproduction of that effort on turf would make him very difficult to beat. At present he is trading at [2.58] on the exchange.

Today’s Selections:

Ayr, 3.25, Brooklyn Brownie, Win and Place

Doncaster, 6.15, King Of Dixie, Win
