Harrah’s gets Nevada Gaming Commission final approval and seals Planet Hollywood acquisition
The Nevada Gaming Commission has approved the license applications submitted by subsidiaries of Harrah’s Entertainment, Inc. to own and manage the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on Las Vegas Strip. Now Harrah’s expects to consummate transaction and assume full ownership and operation of the Las Vegas Planet Hollywood beginning on February 19th, 2010.
Planet Hollywood is located south of Paris Las Vegas Hotel & Casino and will become Harrah’s seventh contiguous property on thenStrip. According to the Las Vegas Hotel and casino operator, the Planet Hollywood Casino & Resort is expected to be fully integrated into Harrah’s customer-loyalty program, Total Rewards, during the second quarter of 2010.
“Planet Hollywood Las Vegas is a wonderful addition to our portfolio of resorts. It will enable our Total Rewards guests to earn rewards at another Las Vegas property, and enable us to reach a new customer segment. We look forward to welcoming Planet Hollywood’s employees into the Harrah’s Entertainment family.” said Gary Loveman, chairman, CEO and president of Harrah’s Entertainment.

In case you didn’t know, Tim Tebow will be in Super Bowl XLIV in Miami, Florida even before he officially gets drafted to the NFL.
Confused? Don’t be. It’s just about this little 30-second TV spot for Tim Tebow during the CBS broadcast of the Super Bowl. And since Florida will host the Super Bowl this year, you shouldn’t be surprised to see only one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever come from Florida in the state’s take on the NFL’s annual extravaganza.
The 30-second TV ad will feature the former Florida Gators quarterback and his mother Pam. Tebow and his mother will share one of their many personal family - affirming stories, one of which could be her decision to carry him to term despite a life-threatening pregnancy in the Philippines where she and her husband Bob were serving as Christian missionaries.
You read it, doctors advised Pam to have an abortion or risk a life-threatening pregnancy. Pam chose the latter and nine months later, she gave birth to Tim Tebow who later became a Heisman Trophy winner, a BCS national champion and one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play college football.
The TV ad is produced by the Colorado Springs - based ministry, Focus on the Family.
Focus spokesman Gary Schneeberger said Tebow agreed to appear in the ad because the issue of life is one he and his family feel so strongly about. Tebow, the 2007 Heisman Trophy winner, is known for being home - schooled…

Model Katie Price (Jordan) Marries Cage-Fighter Boyfriend in Vegas
UK model Katie Price, also known as “Jordan”, married her cage-fighter boyfriend Alex Reid yesterday at the Wynn Las Vegas Wedding Salon in a very quick and private ceremony.
Less than a year after divorcing British singer Peter Andre, Price tied the knot once again with her boyfriend, cage-fighter Alex Reid, in a spur-of-the-moment ceremony at the Vegas hotel.
Following the ceremony, the couple announced: “We are very much in love and look forward to the future together. We can’t wait to get back and celebrate our marriage with our friends and family who we know fully support our wishes.”
Price, who is a mother of three children, arrived in Las Vegas earlier this week and wanted to marry Alex as soon as they arrived. Sources close to the model claim that Katie didn’t even have time to choose a wedding dress and sent a group of her friends to find the perfect gown.
“They wanted to have the ceremony as soon as they got to Vegas, but the bridal stores weren’t open so she couldn’t get a dress. She had her fashion team trawling all over town for a gown. In the end she just had to make do.” said a friend of Katie.
Price, who is a regular in the British tabloids, has been featured on shows such as “I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here”, “Katie and Peter” and “What Katie Did Next” among others. She is also an established author, businesswoman, producer and songwriter with an established wealth of over $60 million.
